Hole retention sleeves should be used in each hole. These sleeves prolong the life of the fence, maintain a snug fit with the pole, and preserve the integrity of the hole. Each sleeve comes with a convenient matching cap to cover the hole when the fence is not in use.
Inside dimension: 1/2", does not work with many older fence systems.

- Should I order a bunch of extras in case mine become damaged or lost in the future?
Many people do but in reality it is not very necessary. Once in the ground they will not be taken out when you take the fence down, they stay in and get capped with the provided caps. So chances of losing them after installation are slim. Damage is pretty rare as well. The only part exposed is the upper lip and this is almost flush with the ground, not a lot can happen to these once they are in.
- Do the caps or sleeves come in any other colors to match my deck?
No, we have picked an off white for the sleeve and a gray for the cap to be as least noticeable as possible. When the poles are in the sleeves the lip of the sleeve will not be exposed.
